The Billings Mustangs (41-11) swept a Saturday doubleheader against the Glacier Range Riders, winning 5-3 in the opener before rolling to a 14-3 victory in the second game to extend their winning streak to ten games.

In game one, Adam Cootway helped power the offense with a pair of solo home runs, his second multi-homer game of the year.

The Mustangs erased an early deficit in the third inning when newcomer Nin Burns II collected his first professional hit with a game-tying RBI double in his team debut. Two batters later, Charlie Muniz smacked a go-ahead two-run homer, his team-leading 17th long ball of the season.

Cole Calnon (6-1) earned the victory after holding the Range Riders to three runs across five innings. Mitch Dye worked a scoreless sixth before Lucas Hartman retired the side in order in the seventh to pick up his fourth save.

After Friday night's series opener was postponed by lightning, a second round of storms passed through between games on Saturday, causing a 2 hour and 20 minute break between contests.

Following the delay, the Mustangs scored five times in the second inning of game two to build an early lead.

Glacier answered with three in the third to make it a 5-3 ballgame, but they were held off the board the rest of the night as Billings piled on with nine unanswered runs.

Michael Soper, Jacob Gutierrez and Sean Lynch each homered in the nightcap as Billings took both ends of a twin bill for the third time this year.

Hayden Mullins (5-1) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief.

The Mustangs have now won ten in a row, their first double-digit winning streak since a 15-game streak in 2023.

Billings will look to complete their third consecutive series sweep on Sunday afternoon as Eddie Kaftan is scheduled to make his first home start for the Mustangs. First pitch is set for 1:05 pm.
