The Billings Mustangs (43-16) were swept for the first time this season, falling 10-5 to the Missoula PaddleHeads on Sunday afternoon at Allegiance Field.

Missoula opened the scoring with two runs in the third inning before the Mustangs answered in the fourth. Nin Burns II drove home the first Billings run with a sacrifice fly. Cole Calnon followed with an RBI single to record the first hit and first RBI of his professional career, tying the game 2-2.

Former Mustang Xavier Casserilla put the PaddleHeads back in front with a solo home run in the fifth inning, and Missoula added two more runs in the sixth to extend its lead to 5-2.

Each team scored once in the seventh before John McHenry belted a two-run homer in the eighth, cutting the deficit to 6-5.

The PaddleHeads responded immediately in the bottom of the inning, scoring four times to restore control of the game. Former Mustang Ritter Steinmann then retired the Mustangs in order in the ninth to secure the victory.

The loss was Billings' third straight defeat, their longest losing streak of the season. The Mustangs have now dropped five of their last six games, finishing the six-game road trip with a 1-5 record.

Billings returns home on Tuesday night to open a six-game series against the Idaho Falls Chukars. First pitch at Dehler Park is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
