The Billing Mustangs (23-6) erased a four-run deficit for a second straight day as they earned their first walk-off win of the season in a 7-6 victory over the Great Falls Voyagers (12-18) on Sunday afternoon at Dehler Park.

The win secured the sixth consecutive series victory for the Mustangs as they took two of three from the Voyagers.

Great Falls scored first for the third straight game, jumping out to a 4-0 lead after a run in the first and three more in the third.

Billings answered with three runs in the bottom of the third inning. Kyle Micklus put the Mustangs on the board with a two-run double and John McHenry added an RBI single to cut the deficit to 4-3.

The Mustangs moved in front in the fourth. A.J. Shaver led off with a double and scored the tying run on a Cameron Bowen RBI triple. Michael Soper followed with a sacrifice fly to give Billings a 5-4 lead. Jacob Gutierrez added another run in the frame with an RBI single.

Great Falls rallied back with a run in the sixth before tying the game in the top of the eighth.

Lucas Hartman kept the game knotted up with a scoreless top of the ninth, setting the stage for the Mustangs' first walk-off of the year.

In the bottom of the ninth, Great Falls reliever Will Rogers walked Shaver, Bowen and Soper to load the bases with nobody out. Charlie Muniz then worked the count full before hitting a ball through the left side past a drawn-in infield to send the Mustangs to victory.

Hartman (1-1) earned the win after his scoreless inning of relief, while Rogers (0-1) was charged with the loss.

Following a day off on Monday, the Mustangs will head to Missoula to begin a six-game series against the PaddleHeads on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
