Mustangs Blast Four Homers in Rout of Chukars
May 26, 2026

The Billings Mustangs (5-2) opened a six-game series against the Idaho Falls Chukars (1-6) with a 19-7 stomping on Tuesday night at Dehler Park.

The home squad wasted little time jumping in front, scoring four first inning runs. Cameron Bowen opened the frame with his second home run of the season before Charlie Muniz crushed a 441 foot two-run blast off the batter's eye in dead center later in the inning. Muniz has now homered in back-to-back games.

The Mustangs offense never slowed down from there, piling up 19 runs while every player in their starting lineup had at least one hit. Seven different Mustangs finished with multi-hit performances.

Bowen led the offensive outburst with a five-hit night in which he drove in six runs and scored three times.

Billings launched four home runs in the victory. Along with the long balls from Bowen and Muniz, John McHenry connected on his first homer of the season while Patrick Mills added his fourth dinger of the year. All four of Mills' long balls this season have come against Idaho Falls.

Julian Garcia (1-0) earned his first win of the season in his second start of the year.

The Mustangs and Chukars continue their series on Wednesday night at Dehler Park. Hudson Boncal is scheduled to make his second start of the season for Billings against Seth Spencer for Idaho Falls. First pitch is set for 6:35 pm.
