Five-Hit Night From Gutierrez Leads Mustangs Past Range Riders
Jul 23, 2026

The Billings Mustangs (43-13) snapped a two-game skid on Thursday night with an 11-1 victory over the Glacier Range Riders, salvaging the finale of the three-game series at Glacier Bank Park.

Billings wasted little time taking control, scoring in the opening inning before pulling away the rest of the night.

Patrick Mills extended the Mustangs' lead in the third with a two-run homer, his ninth of the season and his second long ball against a left-handed pitcher this year.

Jacob Gutierrez paced the offense with the first five-hit game of his professional career, finishing 5-for-5 at the plate with two RBI and three runs scored.

Jaden Harris (4-0) earned the victory, allowing just one run over five innings. The Mustangs have won all seven games started by Harris this season.

The Mustangs' bullpen took over for the final four frames, as Hayden Mullins, J.J. Almeda, Carlos Anziani and Lucas Hartman each worked a scoreless inning to seal the win.

Billings continues its six-game road trip on Friday night, opening a three-game series against the Missoula PaddleHeads. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
